The New 2018 iPhone to be announced September 12
The wait is finally over! Apple has announced their official date for their September event. It is set to take place on September 12, being held at the Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino, California. The September event is one of Apple’s biggest events of the year. This is the event where Apple usually announces their most popular products. So far, nothing is confirmed. Apple is pretty good at not giving us hints on what is coming but based on past trends, there will be a new iPhone coming out and based on a reputable source, it’s going to be called the iPhone XS.
Everyone has been waiting for another iPhone to come out. No one knows if it’s worth waiting for the iPhone XS or should they just upgrade now. Well here’s the obvious answer. Wait!! If you can wait, you’re going to be a win win situation. Either the newest iPhone XS isn’t that great and you end up getting the older models cheaper or the 2018 iPhone XS will be amazing and you can get your hands on one of them!
So what’s going to be so good about the 2018 iPhone? What can we expect that is coming up this September event? Here are all the rumors spreading throughout the internet from reputable sources.
There will be 3 new models being released
Apple has started up the tradition of releasing 3 new models every year. Last year, it was the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and the iPhone X. Previous years, it has been the iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone SE, and more.
We expect Apple to be keeping this tradition in releasing their new models this year. We expect there to be:
- iPhone XS (5.8″ OLED)
- iPhone XS Plus (6.5″ OLED)
- Mystery iPhone name (6.1″ LCD)
- There hasn’t been any good rumors for this but we do know this one will be an affordable model in the iPhone lineup.
All three models are expected to have an edge-to-edge screen similar to the iPhone X. Each model will also include TrueDepth Camera System which will support the popular feature from the iPhone X, Face ID. This could mean that Apple will end the production of the Home button and the Touch ID Fingerprint sensors but that is just a speculation at the moment.
The iPhone XS and iPhone XS Plus are going to be an updated version of Apple’s best selling iPhone, the iPhone X. We’re expecting the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Plus to have an improved battery, same design concept, an A12 processor, improved LTE chip from Intel, and improved wireless charging.
The mystery iPhone model is expected to have the same design as the iPhone X; however, Apple needed to cut some features in order to keep it within price range. We’re expecting the device to have an aluminum frame instead of your traditional stainless steel frame, single lens- rear camera, and no 3D Touch display.
How much do you expect to pay for the newest iPhone models? Well since Apple is cutting down on the features of the mystery iPhone and this is suppose to be the affordable model of the 3 iPhones, we’re expecting the price to be around $600-$700. Rumors floating around the internet have suggested that the iPhone XS will go for around $800-$900 while the iPhone XS Plus will go for $900-$1,000.
According to 9to5Mac, Apple did release the design of the two iPhone XS models “accidentally” (let’s be honest, you don’t run a billion dollar company and accidentally leak pictures). The picture shows a very similar design to the iPhone X model, having a full screen, edge-to-edge design.
